Cozy wuxia is a good way to describe it! Haha

I've watched Ancient Detective and liked it well enough! It's short (relative to a lot of other cdramas), does what it says on the tin, doesn't overreach the plot, imo. And my fav case is All The Jianghu Doctors... XD fav trope. But yeah the pacing is a little choppy.
