The books are likely for schools/communities, I think? I never asked where they go, they just have a big donation box, and no need for any human interaction. XD
I do like the places you are describing and wish there were more of them! I feel that with books I'd never be able to finish one in one sitting + I'm the type who tends to drop books once I stop reading them haha. But boardgames are always really nice to have on hand.
