Here's a video of me flipping through it and propping it up against a peanut butter jar. XD There are 2 sizes, A5 and A6, I got the A5 one so I can actually write on it. Mine is a day-free one so I have to manually write the dates LOL. I haven't tried putting any water on it, but I heard some people paint on theirs.
