1) Get back into journaling, digitally (Day One) and physically. And actually write on my physical journal, even if it’s just one sentence about my week or a movie I watched… Decorating / doodling in lieu of writing is obviously still great, just more effort. Basically, have a planner/journal that 2025!me will feel a pang of fondness for, because my 2023 planner makes me so sad.
2) A bunch of health-related stuff, the first of which is to update my Philhealth records so I can start paying for it again… Best to get this done in January. And then pay for the whole year so it's out of sight out of mind.
3) (Fandom) Complete a WIP or anything that I wanted to make but was too lazy to?
4) Create one piece of visual art. It would be great if I could get back to having little casual graphic design projects for funsies but let’s be realistic here lol. Alternately, learn a new medium / software / skill.
5) Attempt #37473893 to update my OS. I did update from Sierra to High Sierra last year, though I'm not super sure it installed properly. =__=;
6) Is this the year I'm going to get a Switch, as I keep resolving to each year? I feel that by the time I actually psych myself up for it, they're gonna stop making games for it. XD People keep recommending me the OLED (and a friend's partner is selling her old unused one) but I wonder if I should risk the less repairable Lite—price point and portability make a difference to me, but I'm so scared of regrets haha.
7) Declutter. That box of old books in the corner of my room... Clear it out by the end of the year. And then maybe move on to the books in my cabinet, etc. Keep an eye out for nearby donation drives.
8) Continue to go through the motions. Keep seeking out things I can do and places I can go (even when I'm really, really not up for it), keep exploring potential interests, keep making plans, keep interacting with people and getting used to normal situations.
9) But also chill out a bit this year.

Date: 2024-01-05 02:39 am (UTC)To a good 2024 planner year (and maybe cute stickers) for both of us! Hopefully starting a fresh one helps.

Date: 2024-01-04 04:02 pm (UTC)For the Switch - even if they're going to stop making games for it soon (which I doubt), there's a six-year library to enjoy (maybe more than that?) and that's quite a lot of value for the money IMO. Also, given Joy-Con drift, I really would recommend the OLED. (It's amazing how much more joy I got from my original-flavor Switch when I just changed the joycons to pretty colors I like....)
