Getting through 2023 for sure!

I had been stuck in a pretty bad anxiety-depression spiral since late 2022 and I feel like I spent all of 2023 putting myself through therapy without actually going to therapy. _(:3」∠)_

I don't think I had a ~breakthrough~ until the very end of the year, though it's hard to say what exactly flipped the switch in my brain; it really was an entire year of giving myself homework and introspecting with intent and even when I had gotten past the paralyzing void of meaninglessness, I felt subhuman through most of the motions.

It did also help, for both mental and practical reasons, that my older brother was out of the country (and therefore our household) for half the year so I had more space in my head. :P

Anyway, after... all of that... I've gone back into hibernation haha.

Fandom-wise: Finally, an excuse to make a compilation post—I translated and made lyric videos(/fanvids) for all of Zhang Xincheng's songs this year! It was a good year for music releases for him—2 OST songs, an insubstantial summer duet, and a mini-album with songs he co-wrote. My personal favorites are Abyss (Modu/Justice in the Dark OST) and Evening Wind (neither of which he co-wrote hahahaha).








And I got to work with a fantranslator I admire (for_zhouyutong, who has also stepped back from their fan account) for a couple of Young Blood cast-related things and I really enjoyed the experience! One of them was sadly blocked on Youtube </3
